Integration by Ultra CombosClient: GIANT Agency: Cogitoimage International In late 2020, GIANT — the world’s largest bicycle brand — opened the Cycling Culture Museum, the first museum globally to merge bicycle culture with digital experiential design. Tracing the evolution of cycling from history, technology, craftsmanship, human factors, environment, to urban policy, the museum presents a comprehensive journey that introduces global audiences to the multifaceted culture of bicycles. Given the museum’s scale and rich curatorial content, a seamless spatial and narrative strategy was essential. Our team was commissioned to design the museum’s digital experience system, shaping visitor engagement through a user-centered approach that blends technology and aesthetics. The primary goal of this project is to spark a conversation about the issues surrounding the celebration of a mother’s selflessness. In Taiwan, On the eve of Mother's Day, each city holds a "Role Model Mother Selection", which has a history of nearly 70 years and selects about 1,400 model mothers annually. However, the celebration often perpetuate stereotypes and portray women as self-sacrificing homemakers who prioritize child-rearing and household duties. Meanwhile, children are being told to repay their parents’ lifetime of sacrifices with obedience and care. These values have become social norms and deeply ingrained in families. The centerpiece of this project is a cabinet that contains storybooks, a dollhouse-sized room, along with various narrative objects. Through the lens of a little girl, the installation presents three small stories that offer a glimpse into how a beloved daughter views her mother and the complex mix of gratitude and fear that exists within the female bloodline. Participants can interact with the installation, which encourages reflection on the themes presented. It is crucial to recognize that promoting the sacrificing maternal figure as a virtue can be harmful, and we must take steps to counteract this message. Eventually, Big Belly Baby hopes to raise awareness and encourage a re-examination of our societal expectations around motherhood. This short trailer invites you to take peak into the room where lies the big belly baby. When she finally realized there are stitches and patches on her grown up body and had the ability to speak for herself, she was also old enough that her mother expect her to be considerate and move on. When I discussed related issues with my participant - a British-Columbian elderly lady at the end of our user testing, I found that similar challenges were also faced in other cultural contexts. We extended the conversation to the undervaluation of homemakers and the lack of social support. Artists participate in arts-based workshops that could range from simple discussion to acting, and from arts and crafts making to song writing. All workshops are collaborative, and artists participate in creative enquiry and activity with older adults (some of whom may have little or no experience in arts practise). Dancing on The Ceiling was led by practitioner Sue Mayo, a theatre maker who specialises in participatory and collaborative projects. Alongside Sue’s creative facilitation, and through working with 12 older adults from Blackfriars Settlement (a charity supporting the local community in Southwark) 10 young artists co-produced a range of performative work. Various areas of the hall, from dressing rooms to corridors and the catering ramp, were used as performance spaces. However, the singing stops when she's called back to work. As she climbed the ramp, she peeled off a frustrating sign that transforms the surroundings into warm yellow light. Feelings are projections of emotions, often projecting the dark side that is most afraid of being exposed: inferiority to others, inferiority complex, worthlessness, anxiety. This film illustrates the unease by bringing in a third-person character: using the accustomed way of escaping. There are no human characters, and the entire film is interpreted with fragmentary puppets. We want to express that in our memory, the appearance of the person who has deeply hurt you has long been forgotten, but words and actions are like invisible thorns that have been stabbed in and cannot be pulled out. The year is 2027. High tidal floods has adversely affected more than 500000 built human properties in London. Floods increased exacerbating erosion introducing riverine pollution with sewage discharges from both industrial and domestic sources into the river Thames. These pollutants include heavy metals, detergents and pesticides. Floods resulted in the inundation of floodplains, leading to an increase in habitat availability beyond the normal river channel. In addition to the creation of lateral linkages between the water body and its floodplain, floods also promoted vertical, lateral and longitudinal connectivity between habitats.European Eels have long be overfished, and changes in ocean temperatures have restricted them to increasingly small areas, leaving them constrained to a smaller and higher-risk habitat for fishing. During one of the overbank flooding, a group of eels moved to the floodplain and became trapped there when the water receded. For better survival,&nbsp;European Eels form alliances with other species based on each other’s needs and capabilities. Through negotiations and developments, Eels and Sand Mason Worms combine abilities to construct well-designed and better-located migration corridors. The time taken to decide and assess what content we wish to interact with and whether we like it or not, has been reducing. So why should our interactions with humans be any different? According to Psychologist Linda Blair, the first 7 seconds are the most important when meeting a stranger for the first time. One can make basic judgments about another person within 7 seconds, which they call the "7-second test". Although this statement cannot be absolute, first impressions are indeed important for the further development of interpersonal relationships. This notion, however, is not new to us - first impressions were extremely important for our ancestors for survival from the perspective of evolutionary psychology. The ability to make snap decisions about whether or not something was a threat kept them alive. Our size-up of people is still operating - and it operates at lightening speed. We form an impressions about someone based on our perceptions, on an unconscious level.That initial size-up and memory storage of the first encounter tend to persist. That is, there is a primacy effect in the impression formation. Ben has four distinct sides - each side is in the form of a face representing a different emotion – symbolic to the many sides every person has. The four expressions depicted here are confidence, nervousness, flirtatiousness, and sarcasm: personality traits one might display while meeting someone for the first time. The experience begins with the appearance of a shadow of a revolving sculpture within a curtained enclosure.&nbsp;Anyone inquisitive about the piece is welcome to open the curtain. As soon as the curtain is opened and the participant steps inside, the sculpture gets triggered and stops spinning.&nbsp;As a result, only one particular"face"of "Ben" is clearly visible: the one directly looking at the participant.&nbsp;The narration lasts for 7 seconds and this interaction – where you can see and hear ben – almost becomes a metaphor for a first encounter one would have with a stranger. In what appears to be a short span of time, the participant starts building an opinion/ impression about Ben based on their own perceptions. Prompted by the narration to walk around, they are now free to steer the experience and decide how to interact with Ben next.&nbsp;As they move through the space, the sculpture moves with them, engaging them almost in a comical poetic dance – so that the same side of Ben is being seen by them throughout.&nbsp;They can't look past this side – they can see he has others sides, but the first impression that stuck with them is so strong that they can't bring themselves to experience the other sides as much as they try, even when they're there in front of them.&nbsp;The movement tracking becomes essential as it brings to life this idea that once we've formed a first impression of someone it's really difficult to get rid of it and it overshadows our subsequent interactions with them. This impression might be right or wrong depending on our perception, but it is only a fragment of the whole. The piece was first shown in campus exhibition where we got opportunity to test audience interaction and recieved feedbacks from other students and professionals. Later this piece got selected and being invited to display on Fringe Art Festival in Bath. What kind of personality do you think Ben has? Will you change your first opinion on someone easily? Answer can be multiple and diverse. Indeed, there is no right answer. Natural selection would no longer be the sole driver of human evolution. Advancements in plastic surgery and bioengineering might enable people to detach their reproductive organs from their bodies, although periodic reintegration would be necessary to maintain nutrients. Extended separation could lead to organ deterioration due to insufficient nourishment. Through biotechnology and microchip implants, these organs could gain mobility and sensory perception beyond their traditional role in pleasure. People might take them for walks or adorn them like pets. However, with the spread of this technology, various problems could arise. Abandoned or accidentally detached reproductive organs could become common, resulting in a rise of vagrant organs. These organs might display aggression due to nutrient deficiency and their need for a host. This phenomenon could be especially noticeable in penises, leading to the formation of distinct groups.
